She’s back! And she’s Barely Functioning!
That’s the name of the new podcast hosted by former WWWQ/ Q99.7 FM host Kristin Klingshirn. It will be her first appearance in the Atlanta media scene since she was laid off the station in early August.

The podcast will be produced by Pionaire Network, the podcast and media production company founded by Bert Weiss, whom she spent 14 years co-hosting The Bert Show with. Klingshirn, a twenty-five-year radio veteran, will be flying solo on her podcast, and she promises a fun and enlightening experience for her listeners.
“We all knew I wasn’t going to be able to keep my mouth shut for long. Time for my second act!,” said Klingshirn, announcing her new podcast on Instagram. “After getting laid off [from Q99.7], my confidence took quite a hit. But @pionairenetwork helped me find my confidence and my voice again. Now, who’s ready to hang out every day like we used to?”
Barely Functioning is described as “a daily dump for the constantly distracted who want to appear like they know what they’re talking about in front of their friends. It’s the top stories you missed, the trends you might need explained, the questions nobody has asked, and the unsanitized thoughts we probably shouldn’t say out loud…but she is” on the show’s bio on the Pionaire Network website. “No expert advice, no perfect answers, and absolutely no pressure to have your life together. Because she’s come to find out, nobody really does.”
The initial reaction to Klingshirn’s podcast debut was thoroughly positive.
