Atlanta Hawks and Amazon Prime Video Expand team’s Mobile Reach

The Atlanta Hawks struck another media deal that further ensures local fans have maximum access to the games.

The team announced today that Amazon Prime Video will be the new streaming home of the team for the 2026-27 season. This means all local, non-national exclusive games will be available for fans to stream with a Prime membership, with no additional subscription required. This covers viewers in Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Mississippi.

“We are so excited to have an incredible relationship with Prime Video, which has proven to be an innovative and accessible pillar for both the NBA and NFL,” said Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Arena president of business enterprise and chief commercial officer Andrew Saltzman, in a statement. “Our fans are at the heart of all of our decisions, so being able to deliver Hawks games to our fans however and wherever they choose to watch – whether that be in front of a Connected TV, on a tablet, or on a cellphone – is critically important with consumers’ ever-changing viewing habits. We are committed to putting our fans first and maximizing accessibility throughout the state of Georgia and the Southeast.”

Adds Charlie Neiman, Head of Sports Partnerships at Amazon Prime Video, “Exclusively streaming the Atlanta Hawks as part of our growing local sports portfolio is another step forward in providing fans an easy, one-stop destination to watch the teams they love. The Hawks have demonstrated a forward-thinking approach to reaching and engaging their fans and share the same commitment to innovation that drives our organization. Together, we’re making it easier than ever for fans across the Southeast to watch their team.”

Last July, the Hawks set an agreement with Atlanta-based broadcaster Gray Media to air its non-nationally televised games on it’s stations in the Southeast, including flagship station WANF TV (Atlanta News First). This newly announced deal brings the Hawks, who will start their regular season October 21st, to mobile devices, game consoles, and other connected devices.
