From The 404 can confirm that Noelle Williams is joining WXIA TV, 11 Alive, as its latest general assignment reporter.
Williams herself broke the news that she will be coming to the station earlier today on her Instagram account.
Williams previously worked for more than four years as a multimedia journalist at Gray Media-owned CBS affiliate WOIO Channel 19 in Cleveland, Ohio. Before that, she was a fill-in weekend anchor and producer at KFVS TV Cape Girardeau, MO., another Gray-owned property. She was also a reporter at the station.
On a September 27 “The Buzz” post, we reported that a national TV blog, FTV Live, indicated that Williams landed the GAR job, but there was no confirmation of it. This now confirmed hiring of the Southeast Missouri State University grad now adds to the ranks of 11 Alive’s reporting corps.
No word on when Williams starts or her new Atlanta shift.
Williams is the second new face at Atlanta’s NBC station this week. 11 Alive welcomed new weathercaster Hannah Skye earlier this week.
