WVEE V-103 morning host Big Tigger announced on his Instagram account that he will be temporarily off his morning program.
The radio host is in the midst of dealing with spousal abuse allegations, which he has categorically denied. He said he would be taking time off from the station to tend to his family while letting the legal process proceed.
Big Tigger (real name: Darian Morgan) was recently arrested on aggravated battery and child cruelty charges in the wake of the allegations. The accusations and allegations that blew up on social media and later in the mainstream press had been dogging the radio host for nearly a month. WAGA Fox 5 reports his wife, Alicia Brown, told investigators Big Tigger shoved her into an office door during an argument in May, according to an arrest affidavit.
His newly hired co-host, Francesca Amiker, had to defend herself publicly from allegations made about her involvement in the row between Brown and Big Tigger. Amiker is reportedly suing his wife for defamation of character.
Sunday night, Big Tigger sent this statement through his Instagram account….
For as long as I’ve been in this industry, my focus has always been to keep the spolight on the culture and the incredible people I get to interview. But right now, my personal life is in the public eye and has become the subject of overwhelming speculation and misnformation. Through all of this, what hurts the most is being away from my son. Nothing is more important to me than being a great father. So I’ve decided to step away from the mic for a while to focus on my family and give my legal team the room they need. As I previously said, I unequivically deny every allegation, and I am looking forward to clearing my name. Thank you so much all for the love and support.

Big Tigger had been off the air for four days in mid-June, according to Inside Radio, and addressed the allegations that circulated through social media and the press when he returned to the airwaves. He said the allegations made against him were false.
He has not said specifically how long this latest absence would be, other than “for a while.” V-103’s parent company, Audacy, has not yet commented on Big Tigger’s statement.
UPDATE: On Monday morning, Frank Ski told listeners he was “sitting in” for Big Tigger, joining Amiker. He currently works for V-103 as a weekend and fill-in host. Ski has sat in the morning host seat at V before, from 1998 to 2012, and returned to host again from 2018 to 2020.
