From the 404 is the local Atlanta, Georgia source for news and information about the business of the Atlanta radio and television market. It also provides news about locally produced digital content providers.
Atlanta’s media is one of the most competitive and lucrative in the country. Metropolitan Atlanta’s TV market is the seventh largest in the nation, and the radio market is the ninth largest. The local media reaches a 39-country market with a total population of 6.9 million persons. (By comparison, the New York City market has 8.5 million persons.)
The goal of this website is to provide news, information, and insight on the Metropolitan Atlanta electronic/digital media scene, as well as entertain with past and present local content.
From the editor/owner….
This is a fascinating and heady time for media, nationally, and right here in Atlanta.
As a lifelong Atlanta native, I have been monitoring the local media scene here for years. From the analog, pre-internet years to the digital, social media influencer era we see today.
As the business continues to evolve, I hope to provide insight, analysis, context, and history to our local media’s past, present, and future.
Thanks for visiting, and I hope you enjoy From The 404.
