Kelly Crull Exits 680 The Fan

Multimedia sports journalist Kelly Crull has left sports talk station WCNN 680/93.7 The Fan.

Crull joined the station in August last year, where she co-hosted with Buck Belue evenings at the station. She also appeared frequently on The Locker Room, the Fan’s morning show with Brian Finneran, “Hometeam” Brandon Leak, and John Michaels. During her time at the station, she hosted a podcast named Crull Me Maybe, where she interviewed various local Atlanta sports journalists like herself, as well as local athletes and entertainers.

Crull’s next endeavors are apparently taking her outside of Atlanta. She will be doing television broadcasting for the New Orleans Saints and the NBA’s New Orleans Pelicans.

Crull, an eighteen-year sports journalism pro, has an impressive resume. She worked at KOMU Columbia, Missouri; WTHR, Indianapolis; WLFI TV Lafayette, Indiana; KOCO Oklahoma City, CBS News, and ESPN. Her sports journalism career kicked off in earnest when she became a sideline reporter for the OKC Thunder from 2010-2012. She became a beat reporter for Fox Sports San Diego, where she covered the Padres. She became a local celebrity there for being drenched with a cooler of refreshments when the team had a walk-off win. She then covered the Chicago Cubs for NBC Sports Chicago, including their 2016 World Series run. She was also a sideline reporter for the Chicago Bulls.

2020 was when she headed south to Atlanta, where she joined the now-defunct Bally Sports South to cover the Atlanta Braves, replacing the departing sideline reporter, Kelsey Wingert-Linch (now sidelining for the Denver Rockies). She was also a field reporter for Major League Baseball on TBS. After her contract with Bally concluded in 2024, she joined WCNN a year later.

At a goodbye party at the station, Crull offered a message for WCNN fans last Friday, which station host Leak posted on X/Twitter:

“Love you all. Thanks for listening when you did, and I will talk to you soon,” she said.

Crull is also a league reporter for Intense Tennis, an Atlanta-based co-ed professional tennis league “built for the modern sports fan” which operates at Assembly Studios in Chamblee. Crull was a former Division 1 tennis player.

Crull’s podcast, Crull Me Maybe, is available on Apple Podcasts, the 680 The Fan website, and other podcast sources.
