A new face will be joining the WSB-TV newsroom soon.
Ashlyn Webb announced she will be joining the station “in a couple of weeks,” according to her social media post today.
Webb, a Metro Atlanta native, originally worked for three years as a reporter for Cox Media Group’s WFTV Channel 9, and ABC affiliate in Orlando. She was an investigative reporter for the station and recently won an Emmy for News Continuing Coverage for her work at the station. Cox also owns the station she will soon join, WSB-TV.

“Growing up in West Georgia, Channel 2 Action News was always on in our home—whether we were getting ready for school in the morning or sitting down for dinner at night,” said Webb in her Instagram post. “Watching those newscasts sparked my love for journalism and showed me the impact local news can have on a community.”
In addition to Atlanta and Orlando, she also worked as a weekend evening anchor and investigative reporter at WMAZ-TV in Macon. She graduated from UGA’s Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communications.
