Alyssa DiTomasso, who has co-hosted mornings at Cox Media Group’s Country station 106.1 WNGC since earlier this year, has departed the station.
DiTomasso stated on social media that she is leaving the Athens, Georgia-based station to join “an up-and-coming digital news platform to launch a series of on-camera feature journalism, in-depth video interviews, and independent digital storytelling.” The venture has not yet launched.
“After an incredible run co-hosting mornings and sharing my daily life with listeners across North Georgia, I’m excited to turn the page and focus on my next evolution in media,” she posted on Facebook.
Before joining “Your Georgia Country”, she was a producer and on-air host at Audacy’s WSTR “Star 94”, worked at 1100 WWWE in Atlanta, and was an intern at WWWQ’s The Bert Show.
No replacement has been named for DiTomasso. Several reports stated that her WNGC co-host, Adam Bomb, is missing from the station’s website. As of this writing, no one is listed in the mornings section on the station’s website.
