Rob Archer, a former news anchor for Los Angeles Audacy-owned news and talk station KNX will soon be joining Cox Media Group’s WSB 750/WSBB 95.5 as an anchor and reporter.
Archer confirmed his move to Atlanta in his “Archer’s Line” newsletter.
“I awoke one morning to a message about an opportunity — and I grabbed it,” wrote Archer in the newsletter. “I have accepted an anchor/reporter position at 95.5 WSB Atlanta. I’ll
be working with my old KNX boss, Ken Charles, beginning next month.”
Archer left KNX in a round of layoffs last year at the station. He spent a decade at KNX from 2015 to 2025. Before that, he was a midday news anchor for similarly formatted LA station KFI. Archer also has a music radio programming background, working at WJRR Orlando, WPLL Miami, KBIG Los Angeles, and Westwood One’s national CHR service, Hits Now.
Between his layoff from KNX and his new job here in Atlanta, Archer co-hosted podcasts, started a voiceover business, and anchored for Remote News Service, a syndicated local radio news delivery service.
