Lexi Bowden officially joins O&O’s sports staff
By Brian Allen
Lexi Bowden, who joined Fox-owned and operated WAGA TV’s crew of sports journalists last year, will be staying at the station’s “Sports Bunker” a little while longer.
After a freelancing stint at the station last fall, she announced on social media tonight that she will be joining the Fox 5 sports team on a full-time basis.
She’s now part of a team led by former Bulldog QB DJ Shockley, and including reporters Justin Felder, Kelly Price, and Georgia Chambers.
Fox 5 Sports needs the extra hands. In addition to regular sports coverage, the station is the flagship for Atlanta Falcons Football and Georgia Bulldogs Football, and the sidecar content (“Dirty Bird Report”, “Rise Up Tonight”, etc.) that comes with being the destination station for those teams.
Bowden previously did radio reports for the Minnesota Twins and West Kentucky University Football and Basketball teams. She is an alumna of University of Wisconsin-Madison.
