“FOX FM” Gets New Veep
The FOX FM division of the Georgia Radio Alliance will be getting a new Vice President/General Manager. Steve Romak will oversee all of the FOX FM network stations including 1260 WMDG East Point/99.3 W257DF Tyrone/Peachtree City, 100.1 W261DL East Point, 100.9 W265AV Woodstock/Marietta, and 102.1 W271CV Atlanta. Chris Murray, the owner of the GRA station group said of Romak: “Steve brings a proven track record of success in a broadcasting career spanning more than 30 years.” Also, Joel Willis, General Manager of Country WEKS “92.5 The Bear” in Zebulon Georgia will become Senior Vice President of the entire company. “I am thrilled to have Joel’s steady hand and industry savvy helping guide Georgia Radio Alliance’s continued statewide success and growth,” said Murray.
Another New Addition To Fox 5 Sports Team
Last week we told you about the the re-apearance of Fox 5 sportscaster Olivia Whitmire, who’s rejoining to boost the station’s Falcons and Bulldogs coverage. Apparently the station is making room for yet another journalist in the camp. She’s Cecily Stoute, a former UGA grad who started her pro sports reporting career at CBS affiliate WMAZ in Macon. She was also a color analyst for the SEC Network, covering the UGA Women’s Soccer Team, which she herself was on. No official word on whether Stoute is or will be a full time member of the Fox 5 sports team.
CBS Atlanta’s Montgomery Weds!

Congradulations to newlyweds Madeline Montgomery and Robert Sinners, who wedded this past weekend. Two weeks ago, we reported on the CBS Atlanta reporter and communications director for Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, respectively, surviving a shooting incident at their home. The happy couple had a much more pleasureable time tying the knot at their wedding ceremony in South Carolina. Montgomery is in her 5th year working as a reporter in the Altanta market, first at WANF, and now WUPA.
