Atlanta Adult R&B station WALR “Kiss 104.1 FM” has announced a new addition to its lineup.
The Cox Media Group-owned station announced it has added Gospel singer Isaac Carree in early weekday mornings to host Morning Inspiration from 5-6 am, before Toni & Tony in the Morning. He will also host Sunday Morning Inspiration. The shows promise a blend of gospel and inspirational music, along with “Carree’s signature style of real talk, encouragement, and faith-driven conversation,” according to Kiss 104.1.
“We are excited to welcome Isaac Carree to the Kiss 104.1 family,” said Michael Saunders, Director of Branding and Programming for the station, in a statement. “His voice, his spirit, and his ability to connect with listeners align perfectly with what our audience expects from us, especially in moments that call for inspiration and comfort.”
As a recording artist, the Atlanta native performed as part of John P. Kee & New Life Community Choir, where he was featured on the song “Wave It Away,” and Men of Standard, which won two Stellar Awards in 2000 for their album, “Feels Like Rain.” Carree has had two solo number one Billboard Gospel Albums, “Uncommon Me” in 2011 and “Reset” in 2013, for which he also won a Stellar Award.
A start date for Carree’s first show has not been announced. Pastor Riva is the current host of Morning Inspirations, according to the WALR website.
