The Friends of Georgia Radio is set to add to its distinguished ranks of the Hall of Fame with a new 2026 class ready to be inducted.
The organization says this year’s class is the strongest one yet in its last five years of adding Georgia radio professionals to its local radio honors list.
The names joining the Hall of Fame this year are…
DALLAS McCADE – WKHX 101.5 Morning host and music director.
LORAN SMITH – Sideline reporter for the Georgia Bulldogs
GREG STREET – WVEE 103.3 Afternoon host.
JOEL WILLIAMS – WCON morning show host.
MARCY WILLIAMS – WSB/WSBB Longtime morning news anchor.
They will be honored at the Hall of Fame Celebration on August 22 at City Springs in Sandy Springs, Georgia. The Ceremony will be hosted by Georgia Bulldogs host and longtime local radio broadcaster Neil “Hondo” Williamson. The ceremony starts at 5 P.M. Tickets are available at the Friends of Georgia Radio website.
McCade got a surprise this morning when country recording artist Thomas Rhett Akins congratulated her on air for her induction.

Previous Hall of Fame inductees include former Q99.7 morning host Bert Weiss, Streetz 94.5 executive Steve Hegwood, 99x Host/PD Steve Craig, former V103 morning host Carol Blackmon, and radio executive Alan Sneed.
The Friends of Georgia Radio is a 501c3 non-profit organization of “energetic, passionate radio professionals dedicated to Georgia communities, the radio profession, and each other.” The group raises funds for and awards yearly scholarships for Georgia college students planning a career in the radio industry. They also provide mentoring, workshops, and in-person events for radio professionals.
